The Kaimanawa Wild Horse Welfare Trust Inc. was formed by a group of  Kaimanawa horse enthusiasts who are dedicated to the welfare and wellbeing of Kaimanawa horses in the wild and in captivity.

This group consists of founding members who have an indepth understanding and a wealth of "hands on" experience; dealing with Kaimanawa horses. The knowledge brought together here is represented by a group of people with a long association and genuine passion for the unique qualities of Kaimanawa Wild Horses.
